Beginner/DAR Genealogy Workshop

A Beginner's Genealogy/DAR Workshop will be held Friday, March 9th 2012, from 9 a.m. To

3 p.m. in the meeting room of the Graves County Public Library. The library is located at 601 N 17th

Street, Mayfield, Ky. The workshop is sponsored by the Jacob Flournoy Chapter, Daughters of the American Revolution. The morning session is from 9-12 and will cover how to start tracing your family tree, with an emhasis on the importance of documentation. Lunch will be Dutch Treat, and

will be followed by an afternoon session from 1-3. The focus of the afternoon session will be on trying to find a patriot ancestor for each participant. This is a free workshop for those interested.
